The Style 2 was a little beefier sounding, but not really that noticable of a difference.WD®, the WD logo, and logo / artwork design(s), are registered trademarks of WD Music Products, Inc. I also had a Style 2 (Tele) briefly for awhile, but sold it as I prefer the Strat body shape/contours. 010's, especially with the dryer humidity, but that's no big problem for me. I have had to make some truss rod adjustments on the one that is set up with. Very nice feel with the raw oiled finish and larger frets, and they play very fast. The necks are wide, and on the thinner side, but not as thin as a typical Ibanez for example. Also, the non-recessed trem is a plus IMO it's hard to install a D-tuna on a recessed trem, like most Ibanezes. They are fantastic, versatile guitars that meet all of my electric guitar needs. I blocked the trems (downward only), installed a D-tuna in each, a 250k push-pull in each to coil tap the JB, and one has a 5-way rotary instead of the stock 3-way switch (why these guitars didn't come with 5-way blades stock is a mystery to me). You can get them for steals on eBay with auctions that offer "Best offer" listings (both of mine were purchased for less than $700 each new). I have two of the USA Pro Mod "Trans Kandy Gold" HSS models (the only HSS model before they went to Japan), and they have become my main gigging guitars (still have my 15+ years old partscaster that I will never sell, but that stays at home).
